Surveys indicate that late career faculty have more work-life balance, less stress, and tend to delay retirement because of high job satisfaction. Respect for accomplishments leads to even more engagement, including serving as department chair, dean, or provost. Retired faculty are also making significant contributions in retirement. Preparing for and navigating opportunities for late career will be explored.
